Mark Dodson has been a private mortgage banker since the early 1990's and started his own private mortgage banking firm, The Private Capital Group in 1998. He has been featured on CNBC's Mad Money and has been written about in numerous articles over the years in such publications as the Wall Street Journal, Atlanta Business Chronicle, Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles, Pinnacle Publications, Business to Business, and various other magazines, newspapers and websites. He was also honored by Atlanta Business Magazine as one of the Top 25 Atlantan's to Watch in 2008.
Over the years, Mark has always been one of the top mortgage bankers in Atlanta with an outstanding reputation with his clients and colleagues alike. His longstanding connections within the industry have helped him be able to deliver for his clients what other banking institutions cannot- elite customer service and personalized mortgage products tailored to each client’s specific needs.
Mark is an elder at Peachtree Presbyterian. He is also very involved with animal rescues and has had several Rottweilers of his own over the years. Mark has served on the Advisory Board of Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine and was on the National Steering Committee of the “It Begins at Auburn”, national fundraising campaign. He is a member of the All-American Society and the George Petrie Society as well.
Senior Mortgage Consultant - John Ellison
John Ellison is a Senior Mortgage Consultant with Mortgage Capital Advisors. He is the past recipient of multiple awards recognizing his loan quality and overall volume from 2 national banks. John has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the University of West Georgia and has now been in the finance industry for over 22 years. He credits his success to one simple philosophy, treating all customers as he would want to be treated. John chose to work at Mortgage Capital Advisors because it gives him the ability to experience a local processing system in Atlanta, yet receive the benefit of many different lenders and the niches they serve. Local service means decisions are made quickly and closings happen on time, every time. Since buying a home is one of the most important decisions of a person’s life, John wants to make sure every transaction is a very smooth process. Because of this, the bulk of his closings stem from personal referrals.
John is a native of Atlanta and has been married to Jennifer for 31 years. They reside in Fayette County, have two children and attend Southside Church in Peachtree City where John is a small group leader. During his free time he enjoys photography, music, car restoration, and boating. He is a regular volunteer for the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl and the Chick-fil-A Kick-off Game.
Marketing Director - Brittney Runnion
Brittney and Mark have worked together since 2004 when he owned The Private Capital Group. She helped the mortgage brokers there develop the marketing tools necessary to reach their intended audiences.
Brittney loves being able to connect with each of our clients to help walk them through the mortgage process as smoothly as possible.
Brittney is married with two children and two dogs. Brittney and her husband are very involved in their church, and love nothing more than spending time together as a family.
